Take Your Skin To New Heights

By now you may have heard about the Hemp and CBD trend taking skincare by storm.

If you haven't, through my next few emails you will be fully up to speed on the difference between Cannabis, Hemp & CBD.

You will also discover how these products benefit the skin and how they are used in skincare.

Finally, I will break down our Hemp & CBD collection and explain their uses and benefits.

So, lets get started.

What is Hemp and CBD?
Hemp, or industrial hemp, is a strain of the Cannabis plant (Cannabis Sativa). The plant is used for a myriad number of products including paper, textiles, clothing, biodegradable plastics, paint, insulation, biofuel, food and animal feed.

Hemp oil is made by cold pressing hemp seeds from the Cannabis plant while Cannabidiol (CBD) oil is made from the cannabis plant and flowers. Cannabis and Hemp are two varieties of the same plant, Cannabis Sativa.

Neither Hemp nor CBD contain any significant amount of the psychoactive compound THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) found in Cannabis plants, which means you won't be getting high or breaking any laws by using them in the UK. When travelling with Hemp or CBD products, however, it is best to air on the side of caution and check local laws before embarking with your journey.

Though Hemp & Cannabis are two varieties of the same plant, only Cannabis will get you high and in legal hot water in many countries. This is because Cannabis tends to have high levels of the psychoactive compound THC, the part that gives a high.

I promise to delve deeper into Hemp and CBD in a later email and give you the rundown on its benefits and potential uses in skincare. I would also love to show you how at Dr. Botanicals we are at the forefront of developing products with these powerful skincare ingredients.

But for now, let's see who in the public domain is using these products and what they have to say about them.
