One of my favourite skincare tricks is “multi-masking”. Is this something you have heard of, or tried before? If not, let me explain why you should give it a go!
Multi-masking is when you use two masks, for different skincare concerns, at the same time on different areas of the face. I always start out by identifying my 2 main skin concerns, usually it is always battling oily areas and dehydrated areas, so my multi-masking combo usually looks something like a clay based mask and a hydrating mask. However, yours may look different. Are you struggling with texture over certain areas of the skin but then dry patches in another? Start by taking a good look at your skin and deciding what 2 concerns you would like to tackle.
Two masks that work perfectly for my multi-masking are the Dr Botanicals Mattifying Charcoal Mask and the Pomegranate Superfood Sleeping Mask. I start by applying the mattifying charcoal mask to the areas I find I struggle with excess oil, blackheads and congestion. This tends to be in the “t-zone” area of my face, so between my eyebrows, my nose and my chin. This mask helps to draw out impurities and purify the skin with its use of activated charcoal powder. It also contains shea butter which stops the skin from becoming dry or dehydrated.
I then apply the Pomegranate Sleeping Mask to the areas I find I need hydration and moisture, which is definitely my cheeks! I get such dehydrated skin on my cheeks and I find the Pomegranate sleeping mask is amazing and restoring and rehydrating the skin, leaving it feeling plump and smooth. Oh and even though it is called a “sleeping mask” there is nothing stopping you using it throughout the day or whenever you feel your skin needs a boost of hydration.
Multimasking is great for anyone to do, especially if you’re pushed for time or struggling with more than one skin concern (or feeling lazy.. We all do it!) Why not give it a go yourself and report back with what you thought?
